Rethinking Management in the Adult and Sex Industry

Feb 20, 2012

Seeking Sex Workers Who Have Worked For Third Parties

Do you have at least one year of experience working for someone else (i.e. a manager, an agent, boss, madam or ‘pimp’)?

Is your experience as of the year 2000?

Would you be able to talk about this experience in a 3 hr focus group with 6-8 other sex workers on the date indicated below.

Your anonymity is assured and an honorarium will be provided.

This research will:

Document sex workers’ perceptions and opinions on the policies and practices of third parties in the sex industry

Explore how management and third party practices ‘play out’ in the lives and work of sex workers.

Identify how laws and policies affect sex work management.

Research conducted by: Chris Bruckert, Patrice Corriveau, Colette Parent, Jenn Clamen and Tuulia Law (UO); Leslie Jeffrey (UNB, Saint John); Maria Nengeh Mensah (UQAM).
